My Local Protection Plan
Lifetime security for the years after install day.
Local crews install it. We stay accountable. The My Local Protection Plan covers the gaps standard solar contracts leave open: before the system turns on, when it goes down, if it underperforms, and if your original installer can't come back.
Five Protections. One Plan.
These are the five pillars of the My Local Protection Plan. Financial commitments live in the My Local Promise Agreement your project manager walks through before you sign.
Pre-Activation Protection
Payments covered until activation.
If your financed system is on the roof but the utility has not issued Permission to Operate, you should not be paying for power you cannot use. For loans, leases, and power-purchase agreements, My Local Pro covers payments that come due before activation, by coordinating with the financing provider or reimbursing you directly.
Cash purchases: if installation is complete and the system is still waiting on activation after 90 days, we reimburse estimated lost energy value from day 91 until the system is turned on. Daily value is (expected annual production ÷ 365) × your applicable utility rate.
Requires prompt written notice, full cooperation with the activation process, and good standing. Does not cover customer-caused delays, force majeure, ordinary utility processing times, or site-readiness issues. Coverage ends at PTO.
Downtime Reimbursements
Don't pay for downtime caused by equipment or workmanship delays.
If your system is down for more than 30 consecutive days because of equipment failure or installation workmanship, after you have reported it, we reimburse a portion of the lost value for every day after day 30. The reimbursement is the lower of a pro-rata share of your monthly solar payment or the estimated value of lost production.
The first 30 days of any downtime period are not covered. Customer-caused delays, force majeure, utility outages, scheduled maintenance, and misuse are excluded.
Production Guarantee
True underproduction protection.
We stand behind the long-term performance of the system two ways. Module power retention: at least 93% of original nameplate power after year one, no more than 0.60% degradation per year after that, and at least 80% at the end of year 25. Energy production: if the system produces more than 15% below expected annual production on a three-year rolling average, we contribute toward a practical solution, such as additional panels, shading mitigation, or equipment adjustments, up to $3,000.
You must maintain the system, keep monitoring connected, allow inspection access, and first use available manufacturer or installer warranties. Weather, soiling, shading under your control, downtime, and grid issues are not covered.
System Tech Support
Concierge support. No matter what.
You get a U.S.-based team for the life of the system, not a subcontracted call center that resets after year one. We help with monitoring, performance questions, warranty coordination, and the unglamorous work of getting the right crew back on the roof when something is off.
Installer Failure Protection
No orphaned systems.
If your original installation partner closes, stops answering, or can no longer service the work, we assign another vetted local crew. Solar should not become a stranded asset because one company had a bad year. See how to choose a solar installer for what to look for before you sign.
Unexpected Site Costs
Some projects hit a structural or utility surprise after design. The My Local Promise Agreement commits us to help with two of the most common ones.
- Structural reinforcement: up to $3,000. If the installation requires structural reinforcement solely because of the solar system, we contribute up to $3,000 toward the work.
- Utility transformer upgrade: up to $5,000. If the utility mandates a transformer upgrade to interconnect the system, we contribute up to $5,000.
- What both require. Prompt written notice, documentation, and our prior approval of the scope and contractor. Pre-existing conditions, general code upgrades, and unapproved work are not covered.
How a Claim Works
Four steps, in writing, with a clock on our side of the table. No portals, no phone trees.
- You notify us in writing as soon as you believe a protection applies, with reasonable supporting information.
- We review the claim in approximately 10 business days.
- If it is eligible, we implement the remedy within 30 days of verification.
- We may ask for authorization to speak with your installer, manufacturer, utility, or financing provider, and may condition a contribution on a simple release of related claims.
What Most Solar Contracts Leave Out
Manufacturer warranties cover equipment. Installer warranties cover workmanship, until that company is gone. The My Local Protection Plan sits on top of both.

My Local Protection Plan FAQ
No. It is included with your system. There is no separate rider to buy.
No. It is a voluntary customer protection policy, a written goodwill commitment from My Local Pro. It is not an insurance policy and does not replace your manufacturer, installer, or financing contracts.
We manage sales, customer experience, project coordination, and ongoing support. We are not the installer, manufacturer, or financing provider. Those parties stay responsible under their own agreements. The plan sits on top of those agreements; it does not rewrite them. Learn more about My Local Pro.
No. Protections are personal to the original customer and end if the system is sold or transferred, or if the financing or installation agreements are canceled.
Stay in good standing, give prompt written notice, cooperate with activation and repairs, maintain the system and its monitoring connection, allow reasonable inspection access, and pursue manufacturer or installer warranties first when they apply.
About 10 business days to review. If the claim is eligible, we implement the remedy within 30 days of verification.
Ask your project manager for the current My Local Promise Agreement. That agreement is the controlling document for dollar caps, waiting periods, exclusions, Massachusetts governing law, and binding arbitration.

The My Local Protection Plan is a voluntary customer protection policy offered by Nedz Global LLC DBA My Local Pro. It does not replace, modify, or expand warranties or agreements the customer has with the installer, equipment manufacturers, or financing provider. My Local Pro is not the installer, manufacturer, or financing provider of the system. Specific eligibility rules, waiting periods, contribution caps ($3,000 production; $3,000 structural; $5,000 transformer), exclusions, and claims procedures are set out in the My Local Promise Agreement. Protections are non-transferable and personal to the original customer. My Local Pro is not responsible for indirect or consequential losses, including lost tax credits.
